How to Start a Workout Routine

Working out is simple, but not having a workout routine can make it challenging to maintain. If you want to begin working out to become healthier, build muscle, boost energy, improve sleep, manage stress, or lose weight, it is best to start slowly. It is always hard to begin a new routine, so a slow start will help you get it into your daily routine. Jumping head-first into a new workout routine will make you feel like you can’t keep it up. Jumping in will only make a new workout routine fail.
Regular exercise is excellent for your health and can be easy to begin. You do not need to start at a gym or spend hours working out at that gym. The key to making the routine more manageable is to make make it easy and consistent.

An excellent way to start working out easy is to take a walk daily. The walk can last 10 minutes during your lunch break or after dinner. Another way is getting weights for your house and doing ten reps of three exercises, for example, ten reps of bicep curls, shoulder presses, and triceps curls. A little exercise to start is better than never starting at all.
Once you get the routine down of your daily walk or lifting weights, add to the workout. It usually takes about two weeks to get a routine into a habit. Now that your workout is a habit, add 10 to 20 minutes to your walk. Or add more reps with your weights. Keep adding until you are satisfied with the total workout.

If you do not do your daily workout, do not be hard on yourself. Being hard on yourself will demotivate you on your workout journey. Stay positive and get back into the next day.
Remember building a new routine is going to take a lot of work. It will be challenging, but you can make it easy by keeping yourself positive and not expecting too much in the beginning. Instead of focusing on your results, focus on being consistent. Consistency will make the workout routine more of a daily habit.
